More than just a game
The evening kicked off with a women’s flag football game where Arlanda Jets defeated ISF Harvesters 45–19 — an offensive showcase that added even more energy to an already buzzing event. Tigers’ rising young star, Inez Paulsson, contributed with several key plays.

The National Anthem Set the Tone
This was more than a game. It was an event, an experience, and proof of what can happen when many forces come together.
The atmosphere was outstanding. In front of an engaged crowd, Emil Cars from Celsiusskolan performed the Swedish national anthem — a moment that gave the entire stadium an extra pulse. It set the tone for a night that would prove to be something beyond just football.
A packed stadium at Löten featured students, teachers, and staff from the school, along with guests from near and far. This game drew a big crowd.

First Half – Physical and Even
Explosive Start – Small Margins
Tigers got off to a dream start. The team opened with a long, methodical drive that ended in the first touchdown of the game. Quarterback Fabian Opitz connected with Zachary Stolpe on a deep post — a fingertip catch that brought the home crowd to its feet.

The extra point was missed, making it 6–0.
The defense followed up with an immediate stop, but Harvesters worked their way back into the game. An interception gave the visitors new life, and shortly after they cut the lead to 6–3 with a field goal.
The rest of the half was a battle for every yard — two teams unwilling to give up momentum.

Halftime – Far From Quiet
The student union organized competitions, raffles, and performances. The cheerleaders didn’t just keep the crowd engaged — they created a real game-day atmosphere during halftime.

Third Quarter – Harvesters Take the Lead
Early in the second half, Tigers appeared to have stopped Harvesters deep in their own territory. A field goal attempt was coming — but a bad snap changed everything.
The holder had to improvise, kept the ball, and scrambled for a first down.
Suddenly, Harvesters were back in it.
With a heavy run game near the goal line, they powered in a touchdown and took the lead, 6–10.
Tigers Respond – and Take Control
The response from Tigers was immediate. The offense put together another long drive, methodically moving down the field. Eventually, Las “Vegas” Lind ran the ball into the end zone.

Tigers went for two — and converted. Lead: 14–10. From that point on, the game started to tilt in Tigers’ favor.
The Defense Takes Over
From there, the game was largely defined by Tigers’ defense.
The defensive line and linebackers raised both tempo and intensity, while the team shifted into more man coverage. This brought more players closer to the line of scrimmage and forced the Harvesters quarterback to hold onto the ball longer — something the Tigers pass rush capitalized on repeatedly.

Harvesters’ offense lost its rhythm. Tigers took control.
The Final Nail in the Coffin
While the defense shut things down, the offense continued to control the tempo. Long, methodical drives wore down the Harvesters defense and ran down the clock.
The decisive moment came when offensive coordinator and head coach Robert Johansson called a perfectly timed play-action pass. Wide open in the end zone, Douglas Lundh caught the pass from Fabian Opitz to extend the lead.
Kicker and inside linebacker Conor Nethercott showed his Irish ball-sport background and calmly converted the extra point.
Final score: 21–10.
Players of the Game
The game featured a high level of play and mutual respect between two teams determined to win. For Celsius Tigers, quarterback Fabian Opitz stepped up and led the offense — a performance that earned him Player of the Game honors.

On the other side, ISF Harvesters running back #34 Austin Adamus (91 kg, 180 cm) showed why he’s a player to watch. With power and determination, he carried his team forward and was named Harvesters’ Player of the Game.
